Glossary of Terms Related to Commercial Mortgages and Loans

An opinion of the market value of a property made by an MAI-certified appraiser. The MAI certification is granted by the Appraisal Institute to appraisers who are "experienced in the valuation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties" - as opposed to those who are qualified for residential valuation only.
