Glossary of Terms Related to Commercial Mortgages and Loans

An index, originally intended to represent the interest rate charged by a bank on a loan to the most credit worthy borrower. Currently, the Prime Rate Index published by the Wall Street Journal is supposedly "The base rate on corporate loans posted by at least 75% of the nation's 30 largest banks."
